Tamales con Salsa Frankie Francis
Sofrito’s resident Studio maestro recently went on a little tour of Colombia with Frente Cumbiero and Quantic, playing at some heavy parties in Cali, Medellin and Bogota.
As well as sprinkling some Sofrito magic on Colombian dancefloors and hosting some seminars on record production he found time for a little light record digging and hauled back several boxes of heavy Colombian sounds, unearthed in various garages and back rooms….here is a selection of some seriously hot sounds from across Colombia (with a little Cuban sweetness thrown in for good measure). If you’re in Paris on Friday 17th don’t forget to drop by Cabaret Sauvage to catch some more Frankie Francis selections….

When are you playing in Brussels in july?
thanks for the musical education. I would like to know more about the opening track…I know Margarita Lecuona´s and a friend told me about a version by Luis Arcaraz if I remember well, not sure..but this one is really beatiful.Thanks again!
